W+K Wins Best Creative Campaign Of The Year for Honda

On Wednesday night we were lucky enough to of won Best Creative Campaign of the year for our Honda ‘Do You Believe In The Power Of Dreams?’ work at the Arqiva Commercial Radio Awards 2012.

Well done team Honda.

About the awards: The Arqiva Commercial Radio Awards, now in their 17th year, are organised by RadioCentre, the industry body for commercial radio, and recognise excellence and achievement across the whole spectrum of commercial radio output, from presenters and programming to advertising and marketing.
The Arqiva are the UK’s biggest annual celebration of the very best in UK commercial radio.

To the South Bank, for the Arqiva Commercial Radio Awards, where we were lucky enough to win Best Creative Campaign of the Year for our Honda 'Do You Believe In The Power Of Dreams?' work.

That was pretty exciting. As was seeing Ronnie Wood and tiny little Mark Owen. But nothing quite prepared us for the adrenaline rush of joy on discovering that… Pat Sharp was in the building. Fun House's Pat Sharp! We've had this stuck in our heads ever since:

We recently welcomed Charles and Eddie to the W+K family. They are a new creative team who have ventured all the way from Victoria and VCCP to join us here.

They've worked on the likes of Coors, Muller and the Range for the last couple of years, and incidently did their first ever placement at Ogilvy Austria. So they should fit in perfectly here. 

 

Nike World Basketball Festival

Last weekend saw The World Basketball Festival landing in Brixton.

And when Nike Basketball come to town, they really know how to put on a show. Big name Basketball stars Scottie Pippen and Luol Deng were on hand to judge slam dunk competitions.There was mind-bending fast breaking and slam dunking on display, as well as local and big name music acts in the evening.

We worked with Nike to make sure the event had a local flavour, and a sprinkle of colour.

From a take-over of Brixton tube station, to court-side branding, foam hands and Tshirts, as well as lighting up the stage of the 02 academy, we made sure that no-one missed the biggest show in town.
